9. Okt 2024, 14:00 - 16:00: Workshop · Live Coding in Sonic Pi

"Live coding" has established itself as an autonomous art form within computer music. At so-called "algoraves", musical algorithms are programmed live on stage, and digital instruments thereby created as part of the very concert at which they can first be heard. The programming environment "Sonic Pi" was specifically designed for such a scenario. It is free (as in beer and in speech), available for all major operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and ships with easily digestible documentation (also available in German) that addresses primarily non-programmers. This workshop offers an introduction to Sonic Pi to all interested participants - those without and those with prior programming experience. Bring your own laptop (preferred over tablets) if you have one!
